New signing Pierre Joseph-Dubois made a dream debut for Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday as the Terrors swept into the FA Cup first qualifying round.

The 18-year-old, who arrived on loan from Premiership new boys Reading on Friday, bagged four goals as the Imperial Fields side crushed Cove.

But his stay at the club could be short-lived, with Nationwide Conference side Southport already rumoured to be interested in taking the youngster north.

The pacy striker opened his account after nine minutes, heading in Jason Pinnock's excellent cross, before slotting in a rebound seven minutes before the break.

Danny Carroll got a third on the hour-mark before Joseph-Dubois notched two more - the first from another Pinnock centre and the second after Craig Tanner's run.

Boss Billy Smith rang the changes with 20 minutes to go but the visitors were able to extend their lead at the death when Matt York's free-kick from the touchline flew in through a crowd of players.

Striker Kevin Cooper is likely to return from injury for the visit of Whyteleafe to Imperial Fields on Friday night - a win would fire the Terrors into fifth spot in Ryman League Division One South.

U16s will be admitted free when accompaned by a paying adult.
