Frank Bruno discussed his battle with mental health during an annual festival promoting well-being.

As part of the Happy Soul Festival, the former boxer spoke to an audience at Wandsworth Town Hall about his struggle with bi-polar disorder after he was diagnosed in 2003.

After the event last Monday, Bruno said: "What happened to me could happen to anyone, and if it does you shouldn’t look down on them.

"For years mental health has been swept under the carpet - events such as the Happy Soul Festival keep it in the public eye for all to see and hopefully understand."

The Happy Soul Festival, now in its fifth year, runs until June 12. It is a celebration of Black and Minority Ethnic film and arts exploring well-being.
