Rotarians raised more than £4,600 at a charity golf day last week.
Members of the New Malden Rotary club played a round of golf, held a hole in one competition and had dinner and a raffle to raise the money on Wednesday, May 25.
Special guests for the day included comedian Adger Brown, sponsor Charles Hutton, CEO of the New Victoria Hospital, and Peter Skinley the President of the New Malden Rotary Club. The event was held at the Malden Golf Club.
The cash raised was divided with £1500 going to the Rotary Polio Eradication campaign, £1000 for the cardiac unit at Kingston Hospital and £745 to the Surrey Air Ambulance, which was matched by Barclays Bank.
Rotarian Michael Robson said: “Many thanks to all who supported the charity day and donated so generously to the raffle and auction and to the volunteers who helped on the day."
