Police are investigating an allegation of rape in a Sutton park.
Officers have cordoned off a large section of Hamilton Recreation Ground in North Cheam.
A police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm have received an allegation of rape said to have occurred in June 8 in Hamilton Road, Sutton.
"Officers from Sapphire have launched an investigation."
The alleged rape, involving a female victim, is understood to have taken place in the early hours of this morning.
Forensic officers are currently at the scene.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
