Big-hearted customers have been praised for helping raise over £500 in a single day.
Merton MIND, a mental health charity, held a tin collection outside Sainsbury’s, in Colliers Wood, which raised £533.51 to help with new projects this summer.
Susan Bowman, the group’s chairman, said: “We are grateful for people being so generous and to Sainsbury’s for letting us on their site.
"This will help some of the services we provide for people with mental health problems in Merton.”
