Sir Trevor McDonald is set to open the second annual Row Hard for Neuro-Disability Challenge in London.
The event will see 40 teams from London's biggest companies vying to complete a 2,000m relay on rowing machines, in aid of the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, in Putney.
On June 23, Sir Trevor will join Great Britain's Olympic rowers and other sporting personalities at City Hall for the contest.
Sir Trevor said: “I have worked with the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability for some time now so I know all about the charity’s remarkable work. It will be a brilliant night and all for a great cause.”
Organisers hope to raise £25,000 for technology to help patients with serious brain trauma communicate.
Teams pay £100 to enter and do so via the Row Hard website - rhnrowhard.org.uk. Spectators are also welcome and food and drink is included.
