More than 260 children created a world record racket when they took part in the biggest drumming lesson in history.
The feat, recognised by the Guinness Book of Records, took place at Chessington World of Adventures on Wednesday, May 25, to celebrate Africa day.
Children from Oakfield Junior School in Fetcham and Tadworth Primary School took part in the record bid at the centre’s Africa-themed Wanyama Village and Reserve.
The event was put on to mark the launch of Chessington’s new Africa-inspired restaurant, Zafari Bar and Grill.
The park delayed announcing the successful record bid after two baby bearcats were killed by lions in front of families enjoying a weekend at the zoo three days earlier.
