A young woman was found by police safe and well following reports from people concerned for her safety.
Officers were called to Claremont Lane in Esher, at about 5am, on Monday, May 30, after the 25-year-old woman from Claygate had been seen in the area in a distressed state.
When the police arrived, the woman could not be found but some of her belongings, including a black stiletto shoe, had been left at the scene.
A spokesman for the police said some of these belongings allowed officers to identify who the woman was and an area search was carried out.
Police searched properties in Copsem Lane and Claremont Park in Esher and a further properties in Claygate and Hinchley Wood.
The woman’s family were also contacted by police.
At about 9.20am, the woman was found at an address in Hinchley Wood, where she had travelled to stay with a friend.
