Police are investigating after a number of cars were damaged in the course of one night.

A total of 11 offences, the majority of which involved damage to the wing mirrors of vehicles, took place in Crutchfield Lane, Walton, in the early hours of Sunday, June 5.

Detective Constable Anne Simpson, leading the investigations, described the vandalism of the cars as “mindless damage”.

She said: “The offenders would have made a lot of noise while causing damage to the vehicles so I feel certain that residents in the area must have seen or heard something out of the ordinary in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“I would urge members of the public to come forward with the vital information needed to help us progress this ongoing investigation.”

The police have carried out additional patrols in the area, following the incident.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident should contact call Surrey Police on 0845 1252222, quoting reference EL/11/4310, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
