Deputy Mayor Clive Smitheram
The former Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, now deputy, Councillor Clive Smitheram, officiated at the re-launch of the newly-redecorated Stephen Woods Centre in Epsom last month.
The centre, on Roy Richmond Way, hosts a youth club and can be hired out for other functions.
The ground-floor refurbishment was funded by Surrey County Council. Labour was provided by members of the Rotary Clubs of Ewell and Epsom.
The club described the project as a “major improvement to a valuable community resource”.
