A college which specialises in horticulture is holding an open day on May 21.
Capel Manor College’s annual spring open day is a chance to hear more about 50 outdoor-themed courses which include arboriculture, floristry and garden design.
The college’s Crystal Palace Park campus, based in part of the athletics stand and overlooking the park, will also host a family day out.
A bounty of animal-themed activities will include ferret racing, a cutest pet show, animal-themed face painting, and reptile handling, and horticulture experts will demonstrate the latest in plant growing techniques.
Members of the public are invited to bring along any less-than-blooming plants to a clinic, while they will also give general horticultural and pet care advice.
The event will be held on Saturday May 21, between 12pm and 4pm. For more details call 0208 778 5572.
