An amputee who went nude on Gok Wan’s How to Good Look Naked With a Difference has successfully overturned a conviction for harassing his French ex-girlfriend.

Part-time model Gino Fiorellino, 42, appealed against his conviction of two counts of common assault and one of harassment handed down at Kingston Magistrates’ Court on January 24.

Fiorellino had been found guilty of repeatedly poking his ex-girlfriend Carmela Priore at the home they shared in Beresford Road, Surbiton, while making derogatory comments and issuing a list of conditions after she refused to kiss him on September 23 last year.

He was also found guilty of committing the same offence the following day, and found guilty of harassing her between September 15 and November 3 last year.

Judge Richard Southwell at Kingston Crown Court reversed the harassment conviction on Wednesday, May 4.

However, he upheld the two assault convictions, but reduced the length of Fiorellino’s community service from 150 hours per offence to 50 hours.

Fiorellino, who lost his right leg below the knee in a motorbike accident aged 21, is registered with modelling agency Amputees in Action.

He appeared on TV as part of a three part series on body image, and in a Nescafe advert.
