Lambeth’s Readers and Writers Festival returns for its eighth consecutive year next week, kicking off a month-long series of free events.
The festival, organised by Lambeth Council’s Library Service will offer a programme of readings and discussions with top authors and speakers.
This year, West Norwood library will welcome renowned poet Lemn Sissay to re-open its poetry garden. The full programme of events can be found at lambeth.gov.uk/readersandwriters.
Councillor Florence Nosegbe, Lambeth Council’s cabinet member for culture, said: “There is always something inspiring to suit all tastes at Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival, and all the events are free of charge.
“I really recommend that people check out the programme and get involved.”
The festival opens on Monday, May 16.
