A 38-year old woman who stabbed her stepfather was jailed for four-and-a-half years at Guildford Crown Court on Friday.
Sharon Green, of Marbles Way in Tadworth, pleaded guilty to wounding 64-year-old John Craven with intent after stabbing him twice in the shoulder at his home in Hatch Gardens, Tadworth, in March last year.
Mr Craven had been caring for Green’s mother at the time of the stabbing, who died two weeks after her daughter’s arrest.
Held in remand since her arrest in March 2010, her prosecution was previously delayed due a botched psychiatric assessment.
