A Croydon man has been arrested after a dramatic police pursuit by cars and the force helicopter.
Anthony Murray, 27, was arrested after officers began following a Volkswagen Golf which failed to stop in Westmoreland Road, Bromley, at around 1.10pm on May 4.
The police helicopter was also scrambled to follow the grey car as it sped along for 25 miles before its driver and passenger abandoned it in Gangers Hill, near The Ridge, Woldingham, at around 2pm.
Murray was arrested near the scene and has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
He will appear in court on May 17.
Another 27-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed to return to Bromley police station on May 18.
