An organic skincare specialist from Croydon is gearing up for her first appearance on The Apprentice tonight.

Susan Ma, 21, will make her debut on the BBC show at 9pm, hoping to secure a £250,000 business partnership with Lord Alan Sugar by winning the series.

And the Croydon businesswoman does not lack confidence, claiming during her audition that she would challenge even Lord Sugar if she felt he was wrong.

"I'm not the kind of person to just take your word or trust your opinion, even if you're Lord Sugar," she said.

"So, even if you're Lord Sugar, I will still challenge what you're saying and still try and make up my own mind about it."

However, she claimed she was "happy, easy to talk to and very enthusiastic", believed in teamwork and likes to take everyone's opinions into consideration when working on a project.

The series begins this evening at 9pm on BBC1.
