A young Gunner from Esher took centre stage at a major Premiership match.
Nine-year-old Billy Jarvis, a devoted Arsenal fan, made what he hopes will be the first of many appearances for the north London club as a mascot for their April 17 match against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
And as well as leading out his heroes, Billy got to meet them all and build a substantial autograph collection, as well as a new Arsenal football kit.
The thrilled youngster said: "I can’t believe I was chosen.
"There are thousands of kids who are Junior Gunners and it’s a dream come true to be the club's mascot. To meet Robin van Persie too was just brilliant."
And his hero, striker Robin van Persie, said the team was thrilled to meet him.
"It was great to meet Billy at Emirates Stadium," said the Dutch international.
"We all hope that he had a memorable day."
Sue Campbell, manager of the Junior Gunners, said: "We were delighted to offer Billy the chance to be our mascot for the Liverpool game.
"This is one of the many occasions throughout the year where our Junior Gunners get the opportunity to meet their heroes, and it is always a memorable day."
