Beverly Road, New Malden, April 29. Revellers will be turning out dressed in red, white and blue for this colourful themed party which will feature tables all the way down the road, piled with snacks and barbeque food as well as face painting and an egg and spoon race.

Beverly Park, New Malden, April 29. Over 500 houses from seven surrounding roads will be celebrating in the park because their roads are too close to the A3 to be used for a street party. Residents will be pitching gazebos, putting up bunting and brining along picnics for the day of celebrations. Organiser Jo Hudson said: “Our kids are all getting excited about it and we can all remember street parties for Charles and Diana’s wedding.”

Bloomfield Road and Denmark Road, Kingston, April 29. St John’s Church and the Spring Grove Pub will be bringing residents together to celebrate the day and raise money for the church regeneration. The day’s events include a screening of the wedding, a barbeque, face painting, games, Morris dancing, music, fancy dress and cake competitions and a royal afternoon tea.

Burton Road, Richmond Road and Gibbon Road, Kingston, April 29. These roads had a trial run of their street party, when a camera crew from ITV’s Daybreak filmed them enjoying cakes and music. For the real event they are expecting 500 residents to join in the zumba, live music, tug of wars and colourful cupcakes on offer.

Claygate Lane, Hinchley Wood, April 29. Housebuilders Taylor Wimpey have donated £250 to the neighbourhood party at St Christopher’s Church. The day’s events include a barbecue, face painting, a bouncy castle, flag-making, tombola, a wedding dress exhibition, fancy dress and cake competitions and a red, white and blue raffle.

Highclere Road, New Malden, April 30. This street is no stranger to royal parties, having hosted a Jubilee celebration in 2002, residents hope this year will be even bigger and better. The Mayor, Councillor Chrissie Hitchcock, will be visiting to judge the best decorated garden, best crown and best fancy dress. An English feast and a royal punch will be served and apple bobbing and races will be on offer.

Tudor Drive, Kingston, April 29. The Cardinal Pub is hosting a quirky take on the British 50's street party with old fashioned children's entertainment and staff wearing specially designed retro t shirts.

Woodland Way, Surbiton, April 29. Everyone from a newborn baby to 80-year-old grandparents will be attending this street party to enjoy a bouncy castle, face painting, a barbeque and competitions. Organiser Sharon Kemp said: “We have a rather sociable road anyway but it is brilliant how many more of our neighbours I have got to know since deciding to organise the party.”
