There is confusion about the number of police officers in the capital.
When Boris began as Mayor in 2008 there were 31,416 police officers in London.
In 2012, when Boris finishes his first term, there will be 32,510.
That is an increase of 1,094 full-time officers.
No spin, no smoke and mirrors, just 1.094 more police officers to keep Londoners safe.
