Julian Speroni: 7 - Marked his 200th appearance for the club with a clean sheet. He made two good saves but other than that was rarely troubled and has now made it six shut-outs in a row at home.

Nathaniel Clyne: 7 - Moved back to right back and did well in both defence and attack. He's looked more solid since Freedman took over and is getting back to his best.

Paddy McCarthy: 7 - Building a really good partnership with Gardner and bar the opening 15 minutes on Saturday, the pair of them kept Norwich's strikeforce fairly quiet.

Anthony Gardner: 8 - Had a tremendous game and dominated Grant Holt, which is not an easy thing to do. Won pretty much every header that came his way and looks more and more composed with every match he plays. Star man for the second match running.

Matthew Parsons: 8 - Followed in the footsteps of Palace's previous teenage full-back debutants Clyne and Lee Hills by impressing on his first start for the club. He had energy and skill to get forward but also got back and defended well. Will be a good back-up to Dean Moxey if he signs.

Alex Marrow: 8 - Back to centre midfield and back to his best with crunching tackles and great running. Occasionally, his touch and passing let him down but he ran the game.

David Wright: 7 - Played the holding role alongside Marrow and did much better than last week. He did the simple things right all day, breaking up play and then passing short.

Neil Danns: 7 - Freedman's deployment of him behind the striker gave him licence to roam and he looked a lot more comfortable there then when playing deeper. Still needs to improve his decision-making though.

Darren Ambrose: 6 - Still finding his form after injury and he struggled to have any sort of impact on the game. Overhit too many set-pieces, particularly one in the last minute in a very promising position.

Sean Scannell 7 - Proving Palace have strength in depth on the wings he caused Norwich's left-back Drury all sorts of problems and forced Ruddy into a good save.

James Vaughan 8 - Back at Selhurst Park and showed real hunger to be playing again, chasing everything. Sometimes he shot when he should have passed it but that's not always a bad thing, it just means he wants to score goals and they will come.

Subs:

Wilfried Zaha (Scannell, 68): 7 - Looked lively and wanted to make an impact. Ruddy denied him his first goal since August and you could tell his frustration after.

Not used: Price, Barrett, Garvan, Counago, Iversen, Easter.
