A pedestrian was left with serious head injuries after being hit by a car outside Walton Station last night.
Police are appealing for the driver to contact them after the collision in the layby on Station Avenue at 8.05pm on Friday, January 7.
Police believe the car involved was a blue Mercedes, which was seen driving towards Ashley Road.
The 36-year-old pedestrian is being treated at St Peter's Hospital.
Police have asked anyone with information about the car or the collision to contact them on 0845 125 2222.
