Elmbridge Council has been praised for its development of staff.
The authority was reacrredited gold status for the second time by the Investors in People standard - a national framework that measure staff training and development, managerial leadership and internal communications.
This means the council can advise other organisations on their approaches to staff development, as an Investors in People Champion.
Chief executive of the council, Robert Moran, said: “I am delighted the council has been recognised as achieving the gold standard again and that we have the assurance that we have continued to improve.
“Only 245 organisations in the UK have gold and Elmbridge Council has a score that puts us in the top five.”
