Rock outfit Texas and boyband The Wanted are the first two acts to be confirmed for 2011’s Epsom Live!.

Scottish rockers Texas, fronted by lead singer Sharleen Spiteri, will perform at the first gig on June 30 - kicking off five nights of music.

Chart-toppers The Wanted return for a second year, performing on July 21, on the penultimate night of the series of live outdoor concerts.

Rupert Trevelyan, managing director of Epsom Downs Racecourse, said: “Texas is a chart-topping band with an international fanbase and we hope that both music and racing lovers will flock to Epsom, for what we consider to be our most diverse and best line-up of performers.

“I am also delighted to confirm that The Wanted will return to our stage for the second year running, particularly as this is such an exciting time in their careers. What was a fantastic performance last year is sure to be no different in 2011.”

The Queen’s Stand and Duchess’s Stand are open as one enclosure for Epsom Live!. Tickets are on sale now and cost £35 on the day, which includes the racing and concert.
