Weybridge Samaritans are holding a recruitment day on February 5 with full training given to those interested.
The group is looking for people over 18 who are willing to listen without passing judgement or offering advice.
Nadia Danhash a volunteer at Weybridge said: “Being a Samaritans volunteer is a big commitment and an incredibly rewarding experience.”
The recruitment day will begin at 10am with an information morning and a chance to ask questions. This will be followed by a selection event of group exercises from 1pm.
The recruitment day will take place at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Coldharbour Road, Pyrford, GU22 8SP.
