Detective Constable Chris Friday said: "This was a ticket only event and I believe someone will know who was responsible for this assault.

"At the time of the incident up to 30 people could have been leaving the pub and it is important those New Year revellers get in touch with me as they could have vital information.

"New Year’s Eve is a prominent date for a lot of people and everyone will remember where they were.

"If you were in the area, perhaps you live nearby and were returning home, please think back as your help could assist us bringing those responsible for inflicting these injuries to justice."
