Commuters faced traffic delays on the A3 when two accidents in one morning forced lane closures.
London Ambulance Service were called out at 7.15am to reports of an accident involving a car at the Tolworth junction, on Thursday, January 6.
It is not yet clear what happened, but there were no reported injuries.
The emergency services were then called to an accident on the same stretch of road, just before the northbound side of the Hook underpass.
The slow lane was closed as police worked to remove one badly damaged car and, again, nobody required medical attention.
