A legendary fashion designer is set to deliver a lecture to inspire pupils at an Epsom university.

Zandra Rhodes will talk to students at the University of the Creative Arts detailing her career in the fashion industry.

The flamboyant chancellor of UCA will appear on January 27 to present a public lecture called Turning Points.

TV presenter and chef Loyd Grossman, chairman of the UCA board of governers, said: "Zandra is one of the world's most recognisable, distinguished and exciting designers.

"Her career has been built upon the foundations of hard work and determination which we believe will help inspire and motivate our students to succeed in their chosen careers."

Zandra has dressed royalty and celebrities including the late Diana, Princess of Wales and Queen's Freddie Mercury.

Kylie Minogue and Sarah Jessica Parker have also worn her creations.

Known for her own outrageous style and shocking pink hair as much as her fashion work, Zandra began her studies at UCA and has spoken previously of her joy at being the university's first chancellor.
