Households can dispose of their Christmas trees for free at Garson’s Farm in Esher on Saturday, January 8.
Elmbridge Council holds its annual recycling service for Christmas trees at the farm in Winterdown Road, where there will also be free tea and coffee.
Alternatively, people can take their trees to their local recycling centre or, if they have subscribed to the council’s garden waste service, they can chop it up and put it into their waste bin for collection.
Councillor Glen Dearlove, Elmbridge Council's portfolio holder for the environment, said: “We’re delighted to be holding this year’s tree recycling service at the popular Garson’s Farm as part of the council’s ongoing commitment to make recycling services available and easy to use.”
