Julian Speroni: 7 - No shots on target to contend with and his only real scare came in the first half when Paul Hayes attempted to curl an effort around him. If there had been any sort of bend on the shot and Speroni would have been beaten.

Nathaniel Clyne: 7 - Bounced back well from his poor display at Millwall. Got forward and when he was caught used his pace to tackle back.

Paddy McCarthy: 7 - Like Clyne he put his New Den nightmare behind him and was heading out Preston crosses for fun in the last 10 minutes.

Anthony Gardner: 6 - Provided a sturdier partner to McCarthy than Adam Barrett did on New Years Day against Millwall.

Julian Bennett: 6 - The last game of his loan spell and he played well before heading back to Nottingham Forest.

Neil Danns: 6 - Couldn't impose himself on the game as much as he would have liked.

Owen Garvan: 6 - Floated in the free-kick that led to the goal and had some nice touches from his defensive midfield position.

Stuart O'Keefe: 6 - Only his third game of the season and his first start for Palace. Also the youngster's home debut and he did what was needed of him well.

Andy Dorman: 5 - The game passed him by in places and his corners weren't testing enough. Had a couple of good chances early on.

Wilfried Zaha: 6 - Had to be disciplined in the first half, but when allowed to go upfront he started causing problems.

Steffen Iversen: 6 - Lone striker for the first half and grabbed the all important winner. Needs games though.

Subs: Kieron Cadogan (O'Keefe, 54): 6 - Came on for O'Keefe and allowed Palace to be more attacking. More composure would have seen him score when he clean through.

David Wright (Zaha, 79): 6 - Strengthened the midfield which was in danger of getting over-run.

Calvin Andrew: (Iversen, 77): 6 - Chased hard and unselfishly created a brilliant opportunity for Cadogan. Got booked.
