A massive blaze lit up the sky on New Year's Eve as Southbridge place was engulfed in flames.
No one was injured in the fire which raged during the night, although fire crews were initially searching for missing people feared to have been caught up in the fire.
Flames could be seen roaring from all three floors of the building by the Croydon flyover.
London Fire Brigade sent six fire engines and 30 firefighters to battle the blaze.
