A clinical skills simulation centre pioneered by Croydon NHS Trust has been awarded an Excellence in Education commendation.
The Trust's centre features state-of-the-art facilities designed to train healthcare teams by exposing them to a wide variety of unusual scenarios.
The award was bestowed at the NHS London Simulation and Technology-enhancing Learning Initiative (SteLI) Conference last month.
Mr Russell Metcalfe-Smith, centre manager, said: “This is a fantastic achievement in our first six months of operation. The award recognises the investment made both financially and the training delivered. It recognises the hard work undertaken by all the team involved in simulation from across the whole Trust.”
