MP criticises Jubilee delays
The Conservative MP for Croydon South, Richard Ottaway, has attacked the Government over
comments that the
Jubilee Line extension to the Dome may not be
finished in time.
Mr Ottaway said: "We (Londoners) will be a laughing stock if everyone is travelling to the Dome by bus through an already congested Blackwall Tunnel."
Walkers wanted
A hospice that provides skilled medical and nursing care for people with cancer and other serious illnesses is looking for charity walkers to put their best foot forward.

Speedy tax men
Croydon Council has reported that its tax collection rates are ahead of target. For council tax the target for the end of November of 70.5 per cent was exceeded by 2.4 per cent and for National Non-Domestic Rates the target of 76 per cent was exceeded by 2.1 per cent.
