I have an extraordinary, if belated report of a massive chub from the river Thames on the last day of the rivers season, writes Ray Robson.
Fork-lift truck driver Terry Gough fished at Hampton Court and landed a superb 6lb 4oz chub. Terry legered crust to tempt one of the biggest chub to come from that stretch for many years.
Michael Whitby braved poor conditions to bank a personal best carp from the Twynersh complex at Chertsey. He cast his home made boilie to open water in freezing conditions to intercept a 33lb mirror.
Dale Boyer banked a terrific 10lb 4oz zanderat Old Bury Hill at Dorking. Fishing the venue's main lake with free roaming trout, Dale also landed an 8lb zander.
I have had good reports this week from Gold Valley, Tanyards, Furze Farm, Henfold and Whytevane.
