A charity is urging residents living in the Streatham and Wandsworth areas to donate any gifts to help homeless people living in London over the festive period.
Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people has joined forces with Safestore, a self storage company, to collect food, clothing, toiletries and other items for it's Crisis at Christmas appeal. The items will then be distributed to around 2,500 homeless people and Londoners living in short-term accommodation such as hostels.
People are being asked to donate their gifts to the Safestore storage centre in Gauden Road, Clapham before December 10. The Safestore in Clapham is one of 42 centres in London which is participating in the scheme.
