Two people have been arrested in connection with more than 300 thefts, of items worth a total of £200,000, from vehicles.
A 35-year old woman was arrested and charged on November 16. A man has already been charged and bailed.
It is believed the pair, who are from Bromley, were involved in 310 thefts - 15 in Merton - and targeted high value watches, like Rolex’s, laptops and phones.
Sergeant Dan Wheatley from the Raynes Park safer neighbourhood team was among the officers who helped track the pair.
He said: “The team has played an integral role in the investigation of the crimes occurring within Raynes Park. Hours of viewing CCTV, patrols and intelligence research provided links with the subjects who have now been targeted arrested and charged.”
The thefts covered nine London boroughs and also Thames Valley and Hertfordshire.
