The death of a man whose body found in the debris of a flat explosion in Battersea last week is now being treated as murder.
Police today confirmed a murder inquiry has been launched after a postmorterm examination revealed the man found dead in the property died from head injuries.
The man, who has not yet been formally identified, was found in the first floor flat in Crichton Street by fire fighters who were tackling a huge blaze caused by an explosion at the site.
Next of kin have not been informed of the death yet.
Residents were woken by a massive explosion at about 3am in the early hours of Saturday, November 13.
