From January 1st 2011, North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) will help in funding 16 to 18 year olds on a County FA course.
Surrey County FA are pleased to announce a partnership with NESCOT which will allow 16 to 18 year olds take advantage of reduced rates on the 1st 4 Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football Course.
NESCOT will access Learning Skills Council (LSC) to make the coaching course available to youngsters for just £55.
Surrey County FA are delighted by the acquisition and look forward to younger audiences getting involved in the coaching ladder run by the county.
“This is a great opportunity for 16 to 18 years to attend a course that previously they may not have been able to afford, and it will give them the opportunity to start a career in coaching football”, Craig Hicks, Coach Education Officer, Surrey County FA.
The course which normally costs £150 is the first step in coaching and is a great introduction to coaching football. It consists of two classroom-based modules (Safeguarding Children Workshop and Emergency Aid session), two practical coaching sessions, and a final practical assessment.
