CROY: Thousands brave the cold for Croydon Christmas lights switch-on
Former Eastenders star and Fairfield Halls' Cinderella switched on Croydon's Christmas lights on Thursday.
Gemma Bissix and Basil Brush, currently appearing in panto in Croydon, appeared in front of thousands of residents for the switch on ceremony.
People lined the streets of North End to cheer in the festive period while local musicians and bands entertained the crowd.
Players from Crystal Palace were signing autographs and meeting fans in the Whitgift shopping centre and also appeared on stage.
