Players from AFC Wimbledon will be starting Merton's Christmas in style by turning on the Christmas lights in Morden.
The lights are turned on in a tdifferent areas of the borough each year, and this year it will be at the Morden Civic Centre opposite Morden Tube station.
Players from team, Merton mayor Councillor Oonagh Moulton and Santa will all be on hand to switch on the lights at the event at 6pm on November 24.
AFC Wimbledon's commercial director, Ivor Heller, said: βIt is an honour to be turning on the Christmas lights in our spiritual home, Merton.β
On the night there will be carols from school children and the community choir β Inspire and local shops will be selling drinks and cake.
Councillor Martin Whelton said: "We want everyone from across the borough to come and join us for the switch on of the Christmas lights and to enjoy the entertainment."
The evening starts at 5.30pm and the lights are due to be turned on at 6pm.
