Crystal Palace's poor form continued after letting a half-time lead slip at Middlesbrough to lose 2-1.

The Eagles, were welcomed Neil Danns and Darren Ambrose back into the starting line-up after long-term injuries, were on top in the first half and took the lead when Pablo Counago scored his first Palace goal on 29 minutes.

Middlesbrough turned things around in the second half though and took advantage of poor defending to first equaliser through Tarmo Kink and then go in front through Paddy McCarthy's second own goal of the season.

The defeat increases the pressure on under-fire manager George Burley with his side now three points adrift at the bottom of the table with one win in nine games five defeats in their last six matches.
