Armed police officers carrying heavy weapons have been seen entering properties in Tadworth and Ewell in a large-scale police operation taking place in the last day and a half.
Armed response units, police cars, undercover cars and Surrey Police helicopter have been spotted by residents at Headley Grove, in Tadworth, yesterday (September 15), and today in Plough Road, Ewell.
Residents in the areas have reported there might have been people in both properties with guns.
In Plough Road, a resident, who did not want to named said: "There were armed response units here, helicopter, the whole deal. I heard a rumour there was a guy with a gun in a house and that it might have been something to do with drugs."
Police officers remain at the scene in Plough Road.
A resident of Headley Grove, who did not want to be identified, said: "Police officers carrying big guns have entered my property and asked me to keep my gates open in case they had to storm through my garden.
"They had the big shields they use when they raid properties."
A cordon went up yesterday, at 5.30pm, in Headley Grove and was taken down at 7pm.
