New street party system introduced
A new system for arranging street parties has been introduced.
From now on anyone wanting to close a road for a street party or summer fete will only have to complete one simple form.
The new form and guidance notes, developed by the Government with help from Wandsworth Council, are being sent to councils across the country from central Government to encourage more local authorities to adopt an easier approach to arranging events.
