Julian Speroni: Good save in the first half to tip a deflected cross over and could do nothing with the goals. Survived a kick in the chest too. 6

Nathaniel Clyne: Out of position for the second goal but gave Palace width down the right and linked up well with Cadogan in front of him. 6

Claude Davis: Cost Palace the game with a stupid decision to tug Stead back and give away the penalty. Has looked shaky all season. 3

Paddy McCarthy: His commitment was there for all to see and without him Palace would have lost by more. Even went forward late on in search of an equaliser. 7

Julian Bennett: Edwards got in behind him for the second goal and it was not the first time in the match. He looks a good player but is short of match sharpness. 6

Kieron Cadogan: Showed some really good touches and has promise but needs to provide a final product. Unlucky to be sacrificed after the red card. 6

Owen Garvan: Started well against his former club but faded badly once they realised most of Palace's good passing moves went through him. 6

Neil Danns: He got forward to score the goal but that was one of only a few forays into the box. He's playing a lot deeper this season and I'm not sure it will suit him. 6

Andy Dorman: Always wanted the ball and played some nice passes, linking up well with the rest of the team. Rather ineffectual as a winger though. 6

Alan Lee: In what could have been his last game for the club he worked tirelessly and won countless headers. But, as is so often the case with him, he was not a goal threat. 7

Wilfried Zaha: Has plenty of skill and his tricks almost set up a few chances. He got to the byline a few times but found no one with his pull-backs. Palace's most exciting and dangerous player. Man of the match. 8

Subs:

Adam Barrett (Cadogan, 51): Looked shaky and a little nervous on his league debut for the Eagles. 5

Jon Obika (Dorman, 75): Big and powerful but will take time to get used to his new team mates. 5

Alex Marrow (Lee ,85): Only met the other players that morning but impressed in his five minutes. 5

NOT USED: Calvin Andrew, Lewis Price, Kieran Djilali, Stuart O'Keefe.
