Firefighters were called to tackle a small kitchen blaze in Oakdene Court in Walton, at about 1.30pm, on Saturday, June 19.
Residents evacuated the property and no one was hurt.
Three fire engines attended the incident, believed to have been a pan fire.
A spokesman for Surrey Fire and Rescue said, if a fire pan occurred, people should switch off the gas or electricity if safe to do so, never tackle the fire with water and evacuate the property.
