The Rose Theatre in Kingston is holding auditions for a brand new community play to be staged in early September.

Our Town: A Kingston Story will draw on 80 to 90 people to act in the play with auditions taking place in the week commencing July 5.

Associate director at the Rose, Jamie Harperm, who will direct the play, said: “We are interested in harnessing the great stories from Kingston’s great history.

“It will be a celebration of the past and future so we will put out some narratives of Kingston’s history.”

There will be six performances of the play beginning September 6. Budding thespians from the age of 18 are encouraged to apply and no previous drama experience is necessary.
