Young disabled people interested in joining a disabled street dance group are being sought by the organisers of a community show set to take the stage at the Rose Theatre in November.
John Lewis is sponsoring the Stars and Beyond show to help mark its 20th anniversary, and Special Olympics Surrey is keen to recruit boys and girls aged 15 or over, who do not have to be able-bodied, to join choreographer Hannah Greenslade of the Flight Dance Company.
The first taster workshop will be held between 4pm and 7pm on Sunday, July 25, at the Shiraz Mirza Community Centre, Coombe Road, Norbiton, and successful candidates will be asked to rehearse at the same time and place every Sunday from mid-August for the next three months.
Interested applicants should send a photograph of themselves to Sue Frett, county secretary, Special Olympics Surrey, 17 Kavanagh Court, 11 St Martins Avenue, Epsom KT18 5FF and report to the community centre at 4pm on July 25.
