Dozens of firefighters tackled a blaze at a home in Raynes Park last night.
Six engines and about 35 crew members were called to the fire at a loft conversion in Cambridge Road. It was reported at 7.45pm, and brought under control at about 11pm. The loft space, which was at the top of a two-storey house, was badly damaged.
Two women and two men escaped from the house uninjured before fire crews from Wimbledon and New Malden arrived to tackle the blaze.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said the service was still investigating the cause of the fire.
