Women taking part in the Epsom Race For Life next week are set for a pleasing diversion to prepare them for the trek - or to ease them down after their exertions.

Organisers have confirmed that the NIVEA male cheerleaders will be on-hand to help everyone taking part in the Cancer Research UK event, at Epsom Downs Racecourse on June 27.

The swivel-hipped chaps will be at the race as part of a 99-date tour throughout the summer and will be performing a fun routine and selling silk gerberas for £1, with proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.

To help runners warm up, they will perform an easy-to-learn routine to S Club 7 track, ‘Don’t Stop Moving’. Women will also have the chance to get their photograph taken with one of the hunks and visit the NIVEA marquee for all their pre or post race skincare needs.

Shefali Mattani, from NIVEA, said: "The NIVEA male cheerleaders always bring a big dose of fun to the Race for Life events, and we’re so excited to see their fantastic new routine – it really will be one to watch.

"It's the eighth year NIVEA has supported Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, and we want to help them to make as much money as possible to invest in life-saving research."

The Epsom Race for Life takes place at 11am on June 27. For more information visit www.NIVEA.co.uk/raceforlife
