A Ewell school is offering workshops to students from local primary schools for the next six weeks.

Glyn Technology School in Ewell will be making use of their team of Advanced Skills Teachers and has put together a programme of study ranging from mathematics, English and science to geography and philosophy.

Primary school students can expect to experience a wide range of activities including an exploration of what makes a great opening film sequence and understanding the way we learn from our mathematical mistakes.

The aim of the programme is to support local primary schools in ensuring that the most able students have access to opportunities to develop their learning and reach their full potential.

Liz Ball, assistant hadteacher at Glyn Technology said: "As a school, our mission is to inspire a love of learning and achievement that is founded on the virtues of integrity, respect and a desire to succeed.

"We hope that this Talented and Gifted Programme will enable primary school students make the transition to secondary school having experienced the benefits of the high quality learning experience that Glyn offers."

The initiative is part of Glyn’s commitment to developing links with the local community.
