Police have released details of a suspected child-snatcher who tried to abduct an 11-year-old girl in Wandsworth.
The girl was crossing Kimber Road at the junction with Merton Road when a man asked her to get into his car.
When she refused, the man took hold of her hand and tried to lead her away, but she shook him off and fled.
The girl, who was on her way to school, was not hurt.
The man is described as black, bald and about 35-years old.
It is not known if the man had a car nearby or where he went after the incident.
Detective Inspector Cathy Pope, of Wandsworth CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area on the morning of Friday, May 27, 2010, and may have seen a man fitting the description of the suspect to contact the police.”
